Blues Against Hunger Baja Tour 2015
On Feb 4, 2015 The Baja Blues Against Hunger Bash 2015 began with 8 food drives concerts. The project raised about 1000’s pounds of non-perishable food items in 8 Baja cities to help those in need.

Blues Against Hunger Summer Tour 2014
John & Rachel spent the summer of 2014 (June - Oct) on tour promoting and performing 12 Blues Against Hunger food drives in 12 cities from Baja California to Southern Oregon. The project raised 3,700 lbs. of non-perishable food items, across the 12 communities.

John and Rachel have produced many festivals over the years. John’s first festival was in 1984, at the age of 19, when he produced the Santa Barbara Summer Strut, featuring 7 bands and a BBQ for several hundred people. Since then they have produced over 100 events in a wide variety of genres and industries; Home Expos, Latin Festivals, Food Festivals, Sporting Events, and of course one of their favorites – Blues Festivals, This portfolio is a sampling of some of our favorites.
The Team - 2008
John and Rachel were asked by the newly formed San Felipe Lions Club to help them produce an event that they had just taken over from the San Felipe Blues Society. The event became the 2nd Annual Blues and Art Fiesta. The event was moved from a club in town, to the baseball field outside of town to accommodate a much larger audience. The event took place March 19, 2008 in San Felipe Baja California, Mexico.

Flamenco Nights 2008
John and Rachel love music of all kinds and especially love Latin guitar. On September 10, 2008 they produced Flamenco Nights – An enchanting night of Flamenco, dance, dinner, and wine. Benjamin Wood and his Flamenco Group played to a sale out show. Benjamin Wood is one of the most talented and sought after flamenco guitarists in the United States today. He has played in theatres all over the country and performed with some of todays most revered flamenco artists from Spain.

John & Paco - 2009
The 3rd Annual San Felipe Blues and Art Fiesta took place on March 28, 2009 in San Felipe BC, Mexico. Hal “Paco” Clark President of the San Felipe Lions Club and John Pack worked together to produce a wonderful event that raised thousands of dollar and pesos to provide healthcare and medical care in the community. John & Cuba - 2011
On June 18, the John and Rachel produced a musical fundraiser in San Felipe. The sold-out event featured a night of music by Cuba Gooding Sr., the lead singer of “The Main Ingredient”. The event was a fundraiser for two orphanages, Casa de Fe in San Felipe and El Oasis in Valle de Trinidad. It was held at the Pavilion in El Dorado Ranch, and the proceeds raised will pay for the dental work needed by the 55 children of both homes. Check out the Show

Zombrina & The Frankentones Halloween Party
John and Rachel throw a Halloween Costume Party on Wednesday, October 30, 2013, from 4PM-7PM at the Campo Ocotillo Lodge. “Zombrina and The Frankentones” played LIVE ( known as The Baja Boys and Lady Susan), a San Felipe local favorite and winners of the 2012 Best Band.

9th Annual San Felipe Folk Festival 2013
The 9th Annual San Felipe Folk Festival is an annual music concert of folk, bluegrass and country musicians from all over. In 2012 Tony Norris ask John and Rachel Pack to promote the Festival in San Felipe, so we did. It as always was a good time for all. March 23, 2013 at Campo Ocotillos Lodge in San Felipe BC, Mexico.

WiLD RiDE Concert
On May 8, 2013 John and Rachel Pack brought WiLD RiDE the Acoustic Show featuring Shelli Calhoon on vocals & Rex Gibson on guitar & vocals . Shelli spent 11 years performing with fellow Columbus OH natives Jay Demarcus and Gary Levox & Rascal Flatts. Rex is a veteran guitarist / singer, song, comedy & jingle writer; also spent 12 years onstage at Dollywood in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. Shelli & Rex are currently performing the Resorts & Casinos of Southwest AZ & Southern CA. Check out the Show

Bach to Buckaroo Concert
A unique and incredible night of classic guitar and cowboys held on Wednesday May 29, 2013 at the Campo Ocotillo Lodge. John and Rachel Pack booked Craig Yarbrough, extraordinary classical guitarist and Tony Norris cowboy singer and master storyteller split the evening’s bill. Craig, Executive Director of The Grand Canyon Classical Guitar Society plays an exciting program of Bach to contemporary classical tunes. Tony will play his old Martin guitar and sing songs of lost loves and horses and tell tales of digging graves and making whisky.

Rio Samaya Band 2013
Thursday, November 14, 2013, John found a wonderful due. Travelling playing music is what Rio Samaya Band (Pancho and Sal) do. They share their whole experience of being full time musicians with a set of music that moves your around the whole without moving from your seat. The audience experienced songs in Spanish, English and French with a variety of instruments; like guitar, ukulele, charango, drum, accordion and flutes, A very interesting and promising show.

Bud Light Latino Fest 2014
The 1st Annual Bud Light Latino Fest was a great success, featuring Latin music performances by popular Latin artists, across multiple Latin music styles from flamenco and Norteño, to rock and jazz. The festival also featured Latin dance performances and Chicano Music Hall of Fame artists and multi-award winning violinist Lorenzo Trujillo. 10th Annual San Felipe Folk Festival 2014
The 10th Annual San Felipe Folk Festival in March has become a long standing gathering of folk, bluegrass and country musicians from New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada and as far away as North Carolina for a one day only performance. Always a good time for kids and the whole family. The festival was March 22, 2014 at Juanitos Cantina at La Ventana del Mar Resort in San Felipe BC, Mexico.

8th Blues and Arts Fiesta 2014

Santa Barbara Summer Strut – 1983
John produced his first festival at nineteen, the summer of 1982. The event was a 7 band heavy metal concert and BBQ, beer fest featuring Leatherwolf, and many others. The concert far exceeded all expectations and filled a canyon north of Santa Barbara above the Pacific Ocean.

A Theatre Group “The Language Archives”
The Pack’s Love all arts; they invited The Gertrude Pearlman Theatre Group from Punta Banda Ensenada to perform in San Felipe in October 17 and 18, 2013. It was a unique opportunity for San Felipians to enjoy Theatre. This show was whimsical and a great success.

The Baja Love Ride was a fund raising event that took place of a 4 day cycling tour, support by the Mexican Federal Government, Red Cross and 5 municipalities. The event was a wonderful experience for all.
SPECIAL EVENTS
Throughout their careers, John and Rachel have produced a large variety of special interest events from concerts to horseshoe tournaments, cycling events to fundraising events to actually required them both to walk 850 miles down the Baja, Mexico peninsula during the summer.
The Baja Love Ride 2011
The Baja Love Ride was a fundraising series of community bicycle rides a one ride connecting all the communities. The ride crossed the Baja peninsula from Rosarito Beach on the Pacific Ocean to San Felipe, on the Gulf of California (Sea of Cortez), in Baja California finishing with the 5th Annual Blues & Arts Fiesta. The ride begin on March 22, 2011 at the Rosarito Beach Hotel and finish 4 days later on March 25 in at the San Felipe Arches. See photos during the ride

Baja Love Ride Mini Documentary (9 minutes)

A short documentary shot and produced by Geoff Hill, of San Diego CA. Geoff traveled alongside the 4 day ride with cameras, great angles, and lots of action. Includes great ride footage, along with good times in camp, the hard climbs, and downhill adrenaline runs, the camaraderie and support of the the Mexican Government, and interview with organizers John and Rachel Pack. Geoff did a wonderful job of capturing a special event.

Good Life Home Expo
The EXPO was produced from 2008 – 2011 for anyone considering moving to Baja California Mexico, either full or part-time. Attendees would learn everything from buying and selling property, building a home, remodeling, landscaping, or decorating, owning & operating a business, importing or exporting. Over 100 exhibitors and experts speakers throughout the full day event. See More Photos.
The event was held on the lawns of the beautiful La Ventana del Mar Resort at El Dorado Ranch, just two hours south of the USA border in Baja California, nestled between the Sea of Cortez and the San Pedro Matir (mountains), is Mexico’s newest resort community. This development is designed to be a premiere seaside community that offers exceptional and affordable retirement and vacation living, the perfect location for the EXPO. This unique resort harbors an 18 hole championship golf course with 760 residential lots and 300 condos.
